Life IS worth loving. You read that right: loving. Loving life makes your life worth living in hard times.
Untold numbers of individuals cling to their lives from an innate sense of worth. Despite invisible physical disabilities that some endure, they still choose life. Amidst suffering and disregarding mental and physical pain, they choose life. A desire for coming relief might push them forward. It may be personal faith. Hope for divine help or medical improvement—or both—could provide a glimmer of a potential break in unending hurt. Considering the impact physical afflictions cause, one wonders what causes them to persevere. Even though it takes earnest effort, they desire to contribute to making the world a better place.
Welcome to a brief preview of the book titled Sunbreaks in Unending Storms. It highlights an ongoing fight 23,000,000 of your fellow citizens battle very day.
There is a preciousness in life that comes from the inner depths of people, causing them to love life. Accordingly, such people acknowledge the meaning of life—the sustaining treasure of existence. Indeed, they hold onto life even when doing so comes at a dear cost.

What, you ask, is the secret something causing a person to live a life worth loving? I remember the movie “City Slickers” and a character named Curly? One friend who searched for meaning and purpose asked Curly about how to have a life of significance. In answer, Curly held up his index finger, saying, “It is one thing—find the one thing most important to you.” Find what is most important and purposeful to you, then do your best.
Life worth loving examples known to me
I know several people who have that inner determination to do meaningful things. These people live and love life despite extraordinary physical discomfort. Imagine a person living forty years with weakness, fatigue, and pain. The combination of dystonia, post-polio syndrome, and Sjogren’s caused these challenges. Consider a woman who experiences migraine headaches lasting for weeks—or even months. Sometimes, these make her bedridden, and yet she writes and teaches piano. Picture a physical therapist who suffers daily and yet treats patients.
These people, and countless others, found that “something” causing them to love life.
Summing up
So, look for what is important to you. And find a new purpose. When you will discover what makes life worth living in hard times.
Your life may be hard, but it can be purposeful and worth loving.
