Drawing of an ambulance on blue background

Oops! Missed My Turn to Post!

This month was my turn to post. And I had plans. But beginning midnight, February 7, I spent eight hours in the Emergency Room, then a week in the hospital, followed by two weeks in rehab. And there went all my plans!

For some reason, I became extremely sick, extremely fast. The sickness triggered aspirational pneumonia and borderline sepsis. The medical personnel treated me well and managed the infections. I lost all my strength, hence rehab. I feel better, but I’m still not back to my normal strength. I am slowly regaining it. Now, I just need endurance to return. Being an invisibly disabled person with a complicated medical history makes for a difficult situation. However, that situation could happen to anyone; my age didn’t help.

PS. They were never able to figure out what the sickness was, but I’m well. And that’s what important.

Looking forward to posting in April. See you then!
