Let’s think about celebrating history this month with a 4th of July puzzle. My apologies to our international readers who may be unfamiliar with this US holiday celebrating our independence. I also included summer activities, so readers from other parts of the world can still enjoy this puzzle.

I created this puzzle two years ago, so I decided to see if I could successfully work it now. Well … I did have trouble with several of the clues. I eventually figured out all but one; using the reveal letter, I got that, too.
You’ll notice these words to the side of the puzzle: revert, reveal, reveal letter. Here’s the explanation, so you don’t lose any work by mistake. Revert empties all entries. Reveal shows the entire word at the spot of your cursor. Reveal letter displays only the letter at your cursor’s location.
Summer is for having fun! So, enjoy this 4th of July puzzle.
Note:
Because the star is a large puzzle, the clues may be quite small on your screen. On my large touchscreen, I could enlarge them. I hope you have this ability too. If not, I sincerely apologize. You can try downloading the PDF and work it with a pencil. I’m unsure if you can view this puzzle on a mobile.
This PDF is two pages. The first is the puzzle and clues. The second contains the answers.
Hope you had fun with this 4th of July puzzle!
